Our Work

Chase Top Designs & Types

Stainless steel chase covers (like the one in the photo) are popular among homeowners for their low maintenance and long lifespan.

Most chase covers that come standard with pre-fabricated fireplaces are made with cheap galvanized sheet metal that rusts and will likely need replacing every 7 to 10 years. The most popular materials used to construct chimney chase tops are galvanized steel, copper, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Bone Dry Masonry recommends stainless steel chimney caps and chase covers because of their low cost and excellent durability. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant and nearly rustproof, which means stainless steel chimney caps and covers require almost no maintenance. We offer chimney covers and caps in a variety of sizes and colors and will install a chase top to match the exact specifications of your chimney chase.

NEW Chase Lid

Before

A customer has an EIFS Chimney, which is an exterior insulation and finishing system. They were have issues with birds making holes in the EIFS as well as a galvanized Chase Lid. The birds were making there way inside the chimney causing disruption for the customers.

After

Our Exterior division completed the repairs on the EIFS chimney holes and our Masonry Division was able to replace the old, rusted Chase Lid with a Brand New Stainless Steel Chase Lid. These Repairs and the Chase Lid Repalcement were able to keep any birds from entering and causing further damage.

Crown Repair on Chimney

Before

David gave Bone Dry a call to come out and give him an estimate on his chimney. We sent out one of our sales reps to narrow down the issue. He saw the cracks all around the crown and handed the job over to our crew.

After

Rich and a couple guys came out and tore off the old crown and noticed there were a few bricks on the chimney that needed to be replaced as well. David gave them the ok to fix the bricks as well. They gave this chimney a little facelift and our customer was very pleased.

Chimney Crown Repair & Rebuild

Before

The repairman noticed that the customer's chimney crown had deteriorated and no longer offering protection from the elements. Bone Dry Masonry suggested a removal of the rest of the old crown, and to pour a new concrete crown.

After

Installing four new stainless steel rain caps along and wrapping the flue tiles with Ice and Water Shield gave the home extra protection. The homeowner is pleased to know that his chimney has the protection that it needs!
