Bone Dry Lexington Community involvement
PROUD TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE
For more than 30 years, giving back to the communities we serve has been a cornerstone of Bone Dry Roofing’s values. We believe in giving back to the communities we’re part of, because Bone Dry Roofing Lexington does more than just serve your roofing and other home solution needs. Because we’re family owned and locally operated, our teams live, work and play here, and as proud members of the community, we want to make it a better place to live for all and see it thrive.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Each year, the Bone Dry team participates in various charity events, hosts fundraisers and drives, and provides other forms of assistance to nonprofit and local organizations through sponsorship, volunteerism and support.

Bone Dry Loves Pink Campaign
Bone Dry Roofing hosts an annual campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise money for Susan G. Komen.
The fight to end breast cancer is a cause close to the Bone Dry team, as our CFO, Tracy Jaisle, is a breast cancer survivor, and many members of our team have been affected by breast cancer in different ways. This annual fundraiser is our way of showing support by raising awareness and funds for the fight to end breast cancer.
During the month of October, Bone Dry donates a portion of every roof replacement sold to Susan G. Komen. Since we began in 2017, with the help of our customers and partners, we’ve donated over $20,000!
Blood Drives
Bone Dry Indianapolis hosts quarterly blood drives, where the Bloodmobile visits the office to accept donations. Employees set appointments to give blood at the most convenient time for them, with no need to leave the premises!
Healthcare/First Responder Roof Giveaway
In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic challenged us all. To recognize a frontline healthcare worker or first responder for their dedication to helping the community during the difficult time, we accepted nominations for one hero to receive a new roof in our Indianapolis service area!
Over 40 nominations were sent in, and our committee chose the first recipient: Neil Valestin, a firefighter and paramedic with the Zionsville, IN Fire Department and Community Heart & Vascular Hospital. Neil works tirelessly to provide for his family and community, and Bone Dry was proud to recognize a hero in our Indianapolis community for their selfless service and dedication.
Veteran Roof Giveaway
in 2021, we took nominations for a deserving veteran in our Sarasota, FL service area to receive a new roof. Mary Hoffman, retired U.S. Army Captain, was nominated by her son, Cody, to receive a new roof and our panel chose her as the winner!
Habitat for Humanity
Bone Dry is an active participant of Habitat for Humanity homes across our company and the communities we serve. We understand the importance of safe, secure shelter, and our ability to play a part in providing a superior roofing system on the new home of a family in need is very rewarding.
Most recently, our teams in Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, and Columbus were part of Habitat for Humanity projects, some of which were all-women builds where Bone Dry provided the roof and/or gutter systems.
Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project
Bone Dry Indianapolis participated in the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, a nationwide effort to show gratitude to veterans and their families. Since 2016, the Roof Deployment Project has helped over 300 military members receive new roofs.
Veterans
Bone Dry is a strong believer in providing veterans with career opportunities. Since Bone Dry trains our team for their role, no prior experience is necessary, making it easier for a veteran entering civilian life to connect with one of our career opportunities.
Bone Dry also regularly engages in veteran events and fundraisers. In Indianapolis specifically, we have partnered with HVAF of Indiana (Helping Veterans and Families) on food and toy drives and also provide sponsorship for events. Our Louisville team has worked with Purple Heart Homes, which provides housing solutions for service connected disabled and aging veterans.
“Month of Giving” – NWiR and O’Connor House
National Women in Roofing (NWiR) is a national organization dedicated to connecting women in the roofing industry. In 2020, Bone Dry partnered with NWiR on their “Month of Giving” to collect baby and household goods for the O’Connor House, which provides single, homeless mothers and pregnant women food, shelter, clothing and transportation, and teaches wellness, financial and parenting skills.
Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Centers
Susie’s Place provides forensic interviews for children in a child-friendly center for the investigation of alleged crimes against children. Bone Dry Roofing’s CFO, Tracy Jaisle, has served on the Susie’s Place board as Secretary since January 2018. Bone Dry regularly hosts a table and sponsors the annual signature event through a donation to Susie’s Place.
Gibault Children’s Services
In Indianapolis, a 2020 Christmas Toy Drive for Gibault Children’s Services, an orphanage with close to 100 children in their care, resulted in every child receiving a new toy. Bone Dry partnered with the Knights of Columbus and collaborated with other local businesses to collect and deliver the toys to the children.
Schools
Bone Dry is a supporter of local community schools in supporting the arts departments; music, drama, journalism, departments and the athletic programs. Through its financial support, the schools are able to fund uniforms, instruments, theatre sets, etc.
Animal Welfare
As you may have guessed from our logo, Bone Dry has many dog and animal-lovers on our team. Gene Judd, owner and President, and his family are very active in dog rescue organizations and the humane society. Gene even brings Otis, one of their rescues, to the headquarter office!
That being said, Bone Dry is pleased to provide varying types of support to animal welfare organizations across the Midwest. For example, in Indianapolis, we provided the Boone County (IN) Humane Society shelter a new roof and joined other riders in a charity motorcycle ride. Across our company, our teams also volunteer at local shelters, make donations and more.
